I'm not sure if it was unique to this itinerary or if the same can be said of Holland America cruises in general, but for this educator in her late 40s, it was just what I was looking for. Fellow passengers were adults and families with young adults from all over the globe, with a smaller number of younger children on board than I'd seen on other cruises.
